Judgment Day
- a Poem

Did you see the flyers and headlines today?
He must account for all his crimes today
So the summons were sent and God was called
“Do you plead guilty for all your crimes today?”
The question echoed back as God kept quiet
“The audacity of criminals!”
“Oh”, the judge exclaimed, “what time’s today!”
His guilt then was certain and God was jailed (nailed?)
Like son like father— they note the paradigm today
So the temples were shut, idols cursed, the Holy Land desecrated
Oh what luck we caught Him in time— We must look for a new Prime today
The next knock rattles the poet’s doors
How dare you write this? Come— you must atone for your rhymes today!
