With just a blink,
I wish to escape the clink.
To set out in search of an oasis,
For I long a quiet retreat.

A place where there’s no man
But only me.
For there, I might find
The real me.

All I want from the intruders
Is unfettered discretion.
For this is the only breath
Of my existence.

Oh! I wish I had no brains
To process everything I witness.
For now I know, too much
Wisdom leads to misery.
