Commitments
- a Poem

It isn’t easy
It is a relationship
not a video game
It has its stages
Like a game
It isn’t one though.
It has commitments,
Once made, no going back.
No ‘CTRL Z’ to go back a few spaces,
Or to mend a mistake or two.
It has its difficulties,
And its happy springs.
If you aren’t ready,
Don’t begin.
It’s someone’s life,
That you are gonna be a part of
Not a team duo,
That you quit when you want to.
Date to marry,
Not to break up.
Marry to stay together,
Not to give up.
It’s not that difficult,
If you try.
It comes with many levels,
But not in all will you cry.
Falling in love is easy, they say,
Leaving it too.
But, facing life together,
Is the hard part you know.

Truer words have never been spoken! Even at such a young age, Jethro, you have captured the essence of a good marriage.
May God continue to bless you with wisdom and unimaginable favor. Amen!
Jethro you have a deep insight into the shadows of life…now balance it with the light side of life…
Keep writing to heal your heart….keep reading to fill your soul.
