Secluded

Stop poking me, teasing me, arousing me.
Stop your clever ways of subtly seducing me.
Stop telling me about your weekend plans, you are nagging me.
Stop pulling me out of my quietness, you’re dragging me.

No! I don’t want to come to your parties and gatherings.
No! I don’t like dressing up to gain social attention.
No! I won’t nod my head and smile to every stupid thing you say.
And No! It isn’t that hard, once you have found the peaceful way.

Yes! I like quiet conversations which roam around my head.
Yes! Books and lecturings do make me laugh out loud.
Yes! Some stories and metaphors stay inside me for long.
And Yes! I have carved my life out of this silence.

Can’t you see
Can’t you see
I want ‘Me’ and ‘My Solitude’ to be left alone.
