Your Person

All along throughout our life,
We wait unintentionally,
Unknowingly,
For one person to call ‘mine’.

Whoever that person may be,
Your mother, brother, father or sister,
We always need more than family,
For some their friend, for some their lover.

We need one person who can sweep us off our feet,
Who we can call when uneasy,
We never realise that we’ve always needed their presence,
To comfort us, to make us forget our negligence.
So quickly this person becomes ‘home’,
And sometimes so quickly we are homeless.

At times it’s the vibe or the energy that connects us,
Sometimes it’s the like thinking,
But slowly these reasons become attachments,
And then it’s never easy to let go.

It’s never a question if we want this person,
We maybe having one already,
Or needing one desperately,
But one way or other, today or sometime later,
You will meet Your Person.
