Break Free

In a cave where shadows cling,
A woman’s goodness chains her in,
Accused of harm and falsely blamed,
Yet summoned again, her name still claimed.

In darkness, doubt clouds her view,
Why keep her close if harm is true?
She thinks, “What would she advise herself as her friend?
To stay, or break free, to find the end?”

She steps from goodness’ cave so tight,
Sees the truth and claims her right,
Breaking free from chains that bind,
She chose boldness with a clearer mind.
