Honks and Chirps

Children, seniors, Sir and Ma’am
All were stuck, in a traffic jam

Honking cars and shouting men
Frantic to reach their destination

The tempers rose, matching the heat
As more and more people got onto their feet

I too was bugged but what could I do?
A VIP was passing, I did have a clue

Suddenly I gazed up at a tree
And found a nest with chicks, three

Oblivious to all, they were having their meal
Fully trusting their mom & so full of zeal

Their chirping I was sure, was to thank the Lord
My peace and joy was thus restored

I thanked God then for His care on all
Be it in a traffic jam, or a tree so tall

Why worry? Why fret? It’ll all be well
When God’s in control, why shout & yell?
