Greyness

Instilled in us since young,
The postulation of right and wrong.
Black and white is how we discern humanity
But is that all, is what I query.

The more you deepen your gaze,
The longer you look at the people,
The distinct lines get blurred and
The world changes colour.

People are the hues of grey
Seldom black and white as we are to say.
Grey? That’s not interesting,
But understanding of pain, virtues, emotions, hypocrisy of mankind.

Categories hold us back
Unable us to see the world clearly.
The reality is in front of us,
Easy to see, not so easy to perceive.

There is no ultimate human law;
So, who is to decide- what is the truth and the flaw?
Greyness- That’s what lives are,
Certain fragments darker, others paler.
The realization of greyness in its full glory,
Is a gift of insight – one’s way to awareness or neuroticism?
That’s you to decide.
