Desire

Like dew drops on blades of grass, her eyes began to sparkle.
Strands of hair swayed softly, as a cool breeze continued to caress.
Warmth of golden rays swamped her face,
She felt embraced of the craving to be loved.
The harder she tried to remain indifferent,
The clearer the memories became, hovering around.
Her crumbled heart could only anguish silently,
Much like the withered flowers beneath her feet.
With each step towards salvation from own past,
She kept leaving marks etched with dead flowers.
Nevertheless, she continued to walk on the banks,
Sowing the seeds of hope and desire-,
A hope to be in that world again, and
A desire to reincarnate the love she abandoned.
