Social Anxiety
- a Poem

There are people out there
People like me
We were outgoing at first
We don’t go out now
Why?
Fear
There is a fear
Of being misjudged
There is a fear
Of tripping, of falling
There is a fear
Of not being understood
Or being misunderstood?
Shall I live for me
Or shall I line with you?
Is it us “the social anxiety”?
Or is it you “the society”?
We don’t say,
But we wish,
To change you.
After all
We are also people
Just like you.
