- a Poem

On 8th of March it’s Women’s Day
A day to celebrate, a day to say
Women are special, women are great
A superhero indeed brought by fate!!
But what about the remaining 364 days?
Doesn’t she then deserve honour and praise?
Notorious but true, she’s bought & sold
With demands of money and jewels of gold
She’s ill-treated within her very own house
By her own family, in-laws & her spouse
We celebrate the success of a few lucky ones
Who’ve overcome barriers and scored tons
But what about the many left behind in the race
Struggling with the men, to just keep pace
This Women’s Day, friends, let’s all make a vow
To change Women’s fate, and begin right now!
