Will-O’-The-Wisp
- a Poem

Bouncing on the winds she flew high, very high,
The trees looked up to her, and swayed with a sigh!
Zigzagging through the clouds,
She ducked and dodged without a sound.
The droplets caressed her eyes and she frowned.
A pansy coloured bird whistled and winked.
She was on a joyous spree,
Ergo, she curled up with glee.
Her feet touched a colourful bonanza.
Softly the colours kissed her toe.
She trembled in frenzy as she poised on the rainbow.
She was rhapsodic and giddy, and did not question why,
To the pallid world below, she was happy to wave goodbye.
The daily drudgery made her stress,
She liked to hop and skip and make a mess.
The rainbow, a psychedelic bed did make,
She crossed her fingers and hoped it wasn’t fake.
