Sigh!
- a Poem

I woke hoping up for a new world,
Only to find a new label…
I went to see the air,
But the air had some guests…
I went to see the greens,
I didn’t know we were playing hide and seek…
I saw tears coming down a tree,
Oh! Only if they could see…
I went to see the sea,
But I wondered when it was painted…
I got a good place to sit,
But I didn’t know it was a dead…
I heard my table screaming,
It was just a bad dream…
Branches for hands and a stem for a body,
What difference does it make…
We pluck flowers, we smell it and chuck,
Thank God! Our hair doesn’t smell…
Each day throughout my sleep, I think of a world anew
Not to my surprise, I always wake up!
