The shining bug came out of nowhere into the boy’s living room, one night. With the lights out and the not so well-lit scene of the video that he was watching on the TV, it was impossible to miss it. Flying towards the fan running at full speed above him, the fall was hard and brutal. It lay there on the ground, still shining brightly.

This was an inspirational story for the ten-year old sitting idly in the living room. He shouted at the top of his lungs “He is still alive! He is amazing”, and kept following him around.

Once the boy had missed to spot the shining firefly, almost ten minutes later, he got back to whatever YouTube video he was watching. He went to sleep crying that night, when he realised, he had sat on top of it and ended its “Shining”!
