Promises Aren’t meant to be broken
How did you do it,
How did you know?
That I was perfect
That I was the one.
There was a crowd,
But you chose me.
You didn’t want anyone else
Only me.
I don’t know how
But I always longed
For someone like you
Just so perfect.
I understand now
I love the feeling
When I’m around you
I’m always elated.
Come what may
I’m not going to go
Not Now
Not ever.
Forever is a long time
But I won’t mind
Spending it
By your side.
I PROMISE!

Written from the heart ! Definitely a love poem emphasising on comittments of relations. The poem is refreshing , building up hope for the coming generation to value and respect their partners ?
It is a positive write up , speaks of values the young are being brought up with. It is more a respect of ones commitment . And that is well said clearly
The beauty lies in the pure and succinct expression of emotions newly experienced.
The positive and youthful energy is very uplifting.
Excellent poem. Young minds and fresh Thoughts.
Very realistic and soulful expression
Lovely expression of feelings. Beautiful, emotional poem. Deep thoughts. Gives a new meaning to the bond between two souls.

Feelings have been captured in words very nicely and easily. To be able to experience and express it in a manner that communicates the feelings and not just the words, is an art. One that you’re blessed with.
I personally enjoy this form of writing where there are gaps in between. Who approached first? Was the other not ready then? What did they both experience? It’s fun to fill in the possibilities in such gaps in writing. It gives the reader a chance to relate and fit into the gaps. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful thoughts????Keep it up????
