Rain
- a Poem

The rain washes down
all my feelings and
leaves me so empty
but I think I like it
I heard them say that
they feel nostalgic in the rain
but I don’t feel anything
at all and that is not bad
The rhythmic sound of the
wind-driven rain drops,
the peal of the thunder
and I was searching for silence
The darkness of the
black clouds and the
power-cut have made me feel
that I never needed sunshine
The silent birds who give
no testimony of their
undefined happiness tells me
it’s not chirping birds that I needed
It’s not happiness I needed
and I will never find it forever.
It is peace that I needed and
they told me that I seem upset
