Pages of Life
- a Poem

They turn by themselves,
The pages of LIFE.
Some soiled, some glittery, some torn in strife.
Trying to take control?
No, you can only scroll.
With helpless eyes,
Watch the pages flutter with no refrain.
Strangled sighs,
Ah ! They turn again.
Pages of childhood,
Kaleidoscopic,
A wink and the pages show metamorphosis.
Glittery pages of robust youth,
Slip away, quite silken to touch.
Life’s magic gleams through pages soiled and torn.
Half the book finished, Pages turn, you shed a tear.
Inevitably the ending draws near.
You wonder! Thoughts flow incoherently,
Could it have been written differently?
