Top notes of Bergamot
for lashes too tired
of shielding tears
Middle notes of Lavender
for laugh lines
dying of exhaustion
Base notes of Vanilla
for wrinkles vying for warmth
Head notes of Grapefruit
for eyes brimming with madness
Dry down notes of Neroli
for cheeks bruised with
exasperated kisses
Heart notes of Rose
to get hold of the smile
looking for a perch to land
Base notes of Musk
for love that
decided to flit away.
