Monsoons
- a Poem
- by Popsie Ebenezer

The monsoons are here, everything is so green
It’s a season I’ve enjoyed, ever since a teen
Nostalgic I become when monsoons arrive
And into the past, I silently do dive
It was fun getting wet in torrential rain
Although catching a cold, was indeed a bane
It felt so good when Mom dried my hair
Though from her anger me, she never did spare!!
We invariably got hot snacks to eat
And a warm bedspread, to warm our feet
Sometimes, the school was off for the day
For this we’d often so seriously, pray
The greenery this season is a sight apart
It displays God’s genius, His power and His art
Indeed the seasons are a gift from God
And any change in them, will create a discord
So let’s be wise and take care of the earth
So resources such as these, there’s never any dearth
