Goodbye 2020
- a Poem

A year, and what a year,
For many, difficult to bear,
An invisible organism creating havoc,
A little cloud and a little cavok.
Not wealth nor money,
Only health it is,
That’s the lesson it taught,
Amongst all the clutter and fizz,
The year is now coming to a close,
And hopefully our troubles and woes,
May we again hear the gentle sound of hush,
The flowers and birds, with their evening blush.
It’s time to relax and be calm,
And let nature apply the balm,
May we again hear the sound of joy,
And fight off the deadly COVID ploy,
A new year and a brand-new start,
Wear mask, wash hands,
And love from the heart.
Happy New Year!
