Forbidden Love
- a Poem

The sins made in haste,
now stand to define us.
The only act of reunion,
left us in disgrace.
Yearning for forgiveness,
while this life passes on.
Any attempt at propitiation,
seems to be in vain.
Our worlds in oblivion,
reek of perpetual solitude.
Mere thoughts on severance,
feels like eternal affliction.
To be cast away,
like a wound unattended.
Only to seldom realise,
the gravity of our wrongs.
Retribution at times an option,
fades away upon introspection.
For all this life and beyond,
our love remains forbidden.
