Don’t Break It

It’s just so small
It’s just so li’l
It will only take a second
But, please don’t do it.
It’s happened before
So it’s hard to trust
It’s hard to believe
That it won’t happen again.
Gotta learn to trust,
Gotta believe again,
Believe all those promises
That were once said.
But hope,
It’s all I have.
Hope that such a thing
Never happens again.
It’s the size of a fist
Just so li’l
When it breaks
Why does it hurt so bad?

Conflicting emotions of pain n reality , still with hope n trust somewhere have been beautifully brought out in such few lines ! Write on Jethro !
