Damned!

She wasn’t the newest idea in ‘the town’. She had been around for a very long time, lost in the annals of history, surviving in old dusty books. It was only when the state’s men showed up at her doorstep that she became mindful of her existence.
A few nostalgic fluff pieces by some of her admirers and she had become a dangerous proposition again. She had to be dealt with. The triangle awaited her. The place where ideas were sentenced to eternal imprisonment.
Not everyone in the triangle was blessed with the prospect of death. Once in a while some would sneak back to the town, eventually to suffer the ignominy of being sent back. She for one had made up her mind. There will be no coming back this time. She was done with the town.
Unbeknownst to her, some were already plotting an escape plan for her!
