The moment I realized I was nothing,
In the night when he was all those stars for me,
The river of tears that always flowed,
This time, it was still.
Heartbroken, it was ferocious and pretty,
Now it’s calm and unsure,
A quiet reflection of what used to be,
In the silence, I endure.
The stars once bright, now distant and cold,
Their light, a memory of what we were,
The river’s song a whisper, old and untold,
In the depths, my heart does stir.
