The Higher Self
- a Poem
- by Sahiba Marwah
When things are said,
But still left unexpressed.
When thoughts become hazy,
Opinions tend to vary.
When it is difficult to explain,
The change in perspective or,
The unseasonal rain.
When surrounded with questions,
And the answers seem unreachable.
When the problem is heard and comprehended,
But the sentiment isn’t delivered the way intended.
Then whom do we look upon for guidance?
The outer world or our Higher Self?
Whose advice are we meant to follow?
As humans crave success and no sorrow.
But what if we listen to that inner voice,
And let it lead to a journey unknown?
What if we drop the practicalities for once,
Making way for the innocence ignored?
What if we believe,
That walking on the pathway
Of life purpose,
Probably holds the potential,
To open the door to bliss and answers,
Of questions that once
Seemed dubious.
