COVID 19 still lurks and claims many lives
Parents, siblings, husbands and wives
It’s a war against an unseen foe
A war to be won by lying low
We are the troops, untrained though we be
Obedience to rules, is the vital key
We save our lives and that of others too
If we strictly do what we are told to
Wearing a mask and sometimes even two
Is heroic now and the right thing to do
Washing hands well and time and again
Will e’er be a blessing, and never a bane
Maintaining distance from one and all
For the virus too, creates a wall
Our commanders are the Docs, and the paramedics too
Who’re working really hard, with commitment so true
It’s a difficult time, let’s join hands as one
And ensure this COVID, out of the World, does run
