The Blues
- a Poem

I once loved the blues,
And kept away from the hues.
For I dismissed the cue,
Only to get what’s due.
Trying myself to be social,
But always just fiducial.
Thoughts roaming astray,
Put in line with dismay.
Rusting on the inside,
Bustling on the outside.
And one fine day, I broke,
But all they did was joke.
Realization dawned upon me,
To drop the role of a banshee.
For all I dreamt was utopia,
And all I got was insomnia.

Don’t seem like you are rusting on the inside. If the outcome is such good poetry, then happy to see you rusting on forever. Cheers!
