My Ex-Best Friend
- a Poem

I remember you,
Rather, I still remember you.
You made me laugh,
Got me out of my shell.
You stood up for me,
And always stood by me.
I couldn’t thank you enough,
For caring, the way you did.
I shouldn’t think about you,
Our friendship was a lie,
But I trusted you so much,
For you, I’d even die.
Your laugh still rings in my ears,
You calling me by your name,
Makes me cry now,
But I guess, times change.
I shouldn’t miss you,
But I miss how happy you made me,
I guess, I’ll wait for this to pass,
As the past has happened anyway.
I see you are successful now,
I’m really happy for you,
You are a stranger now,
Once, we were still best friends.
